Melissa & Chris' Gallow Green NYC Wedding

From the start, Melissa & Chris envisioned a non-traditional wedding to celebrate their nuptials. Their day began at the boutique Hotel Selina Chelsea where they got ready for their intimate, but special day.

The couples’ sweet pup, Max, joined Melissa & and her family in the bridal suite. The mood was cheerful in both rooms, as family members came in & out to greet them & express their excitement. Lisa Rosado gave Melissa beautiful bridal waves & make-up artist Erica created the perfect look to go with the bride’s unconventional Galia Lahav jumpsuit from Bridal Reflections, perfectly complemented by a fedora.

The ceremony unfolded at the whimsical garden rooftop Gallow Green, atop the McKittrick Hotel. A good friend officiated and there were many laughs & tears during the short and sweet ceremony.

The bar boasted specialty cocktails, designed by the couple & named after their three pets - their pup, Max, and their cats - Ernie & Burt. An artist floated around the party, secretly sketching guests and later surprising them with their portraits as a take-home.

Midway through the reception, the couple stepped away to exchange love letters. They read them back-to-back before turning around to share their reactions & embrace.

Chris comes from a musical background & surprised Melissa with a performance. He played the guitar & serenaded her before they shared their first dance. The couple was on the dance floor the rest of the night, dancing with their loved ones & belting out their favorite songs.

At the end of the night, there was an assortment of treats for guests, including cookies from Levain Bakery, truffles from Momofuku Milk Bar & a striking cake from Sarah Ruth’s Bakery. The cake was adorned with dinosaur toppers, a fun touch that themed with the couples’ personalities.
