No pictures please….

I’m fairly certain that was the theme of this session. Little ones are always on the move, and, I like to shoot what ever they give me. Today Miss Claire was too interested in what was going on around her (mostly my 7 year old daughter) to smile for the camera (aka ME).

There were some very interesting things happening on the floor!

And on her tutu..

This super cute tutu and head band is from Fairy Tutu Boutique you can find her on Etsy.com. Jennifer is a super sweet wonderful military wife, she is helpful creative and gets stuff shipped very quickly. Please check her out next time you’re tutu shopping!

Of course, I can’t post with out some black & white,  and the one time Claire actually did face me..

Thanks Claire, You made me giggle. I had lots of fun watching you explore the studio. Can’t wait to have you come back and play soon!

My Day Job…

Posted on December 16, 2010

I’ve always loved being in libraries. I love being surrounded by all of the books. So I jumped at the chance to work at our base library. I use to think that people who worked at the library were very quiet, calm individuals. BOY was I wrong. I mean, If I always wanted to work in a library, it would make sense that not everyone who worked at one would be quiet and calm. I most certainly am not. I never imagined what CHARACTERS library employees are. There is daily laughter and crazy stories. We are the loudest library i’ve ever been in. I think that’s part of the reason I love my job so much, the other part is that cast of characters I work with.

While trying to take some “nice” pictures for a going away plaque, I snapped this awesome outtake. Outtakes always end up being my favorite. I wish I had managed to get IN this one, but as always i’m behind the lens. I can’t look at this picture with out laughing so hard I cry.

So for anyone else who thinks people who work at a library are quiet boring individuals, let this be a lesson to you… We’re anything but quiet & boring!
